1st Annual LBCA
The Lake Burton Civic Association Foundation recently announced the grant recipient for the 2020 LBCA Impact Award. Created in 2020, the award recognizes a local charitable entity that is making an important impact on the well-being of the residents of Rabun County.
This year’s award of $10,000 was made to Georgia Mountain Psychological Associates. The non-profit was formed by Mandy Pileski, PhD earlier this year and is the result of collaborative efforts by the Mental Health Task Force of Rabun County. The non-profit provides sliding fee rates to those who would not otherwise be able to afford behavioral health and wellness services.
COVID has placed a substantial burden on the already limited network of mental health providers in Rabun County. The LBCAF grant will help provide subsidy funding to local Rabun County residents without the resources to obtain this service.

The Grants Committee of the Lake Burton Civic Association Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, thanks the LBCA members whose contributions made this grant possible along with other important charitable grants that have been made in 2020.
