Lake Burton Civic Association

Water Safety Day June 1

The Lake Burton Civic Association (LBCA) is excited to announce that Saturday, June 1, is our first ever Water Safety Day.

Morning Session

From 9 to 11 am, at the LaPrades Pavilion, we offer our members a unique opportunity. Representatives of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will conduct a boating and water safety meeting. This is your rare chance to meet the DNR officers who patrol the lake, hear from them about their experiences, and ask them questions. We value your safety, and this meeting is a testament to that.

This meeting is of utmost importance for all members. It is the first time LBCA has offered such a meeting, and it's a direct response to the high number of tickets handed out last year. The DNR suggested we offer it to help offset these incidents. Your active participation and education are the keys to lowering these incidents and making our community safer.

Please mark your calendars to ensure smooth sailing with the DNR this summer!

Afternoon Session

You can attend CPR/AED certification at Camp High Harbour Dining Hall from 2 to 4 pm. The cost for this certification is $50 per person. Please note that you must register and pay a fee for the afternoon session.
