27th Annual LBCA Golf Tournament

The 27th Annual LBCA Golf Tournament was a very successful, fun-filled event for the 120 participants at the Waterfall Club course. Nearly $25,000 was raised to support our volunteer fire departments, an all-time high.  After the spirited competition, the following foursomes came out on top:

1st Flight

1st Place:     -20     Lee Penland, Nick Poss, Tim Ranny, David Cleveland
2nd Place:    -19     Lawson Spence, Mike Walsh, Kevin Walsh, Rodney Turner

3rd Flight
1st Place:     -17    Ross George, John Dinos, Lucien Kimball, Mark Shaw
2nd Place:    -17    Mike Egan, Bruce Woodward, Ken Graves, Grant Grayson

4th Flight
1st Place:      -14    Todd Henningson, Jim Roth, Jared Ingley, John Winter
2nd Place:    -13     Dave Culley, Jeff Rodbell, Alan Elsas, Mike Maffett

5th Flight
1st Place:      -9       Bill Matthews, Mary Ann Matthews, Neil Collins, Susie Collins
2nd Place:     -7      Jon McMillan, Jerry Conrad, Pete Ward, Bob Moore

Prizes were awarded for 1st and 2nd place finishes in each flight, closest to the hole on par 3 holes, and longest drive.  All participants were rewarded with a delicious lunch prepared by the Waterfall Club staff.  Thanks to all the LBCA board members and their spouses, benefactors, sponsors, patrons, raffle donors, players, the Waterfall Club, and all others who helped make this year’s tournament another record setting success.  Special thanks to Becky and Tom Callahan, George and Libba Pickett, Janis and Jim Stapleton, Evelyn Heald, Bill and Jan Bomar, Randall and Martha Ramsey, Leigh Welch, Elizabeth Gill, Fletch Homer, and Sandi Majors for their tournament day help.
